Developed by Washington experts, the Politics & Taxes 2009 program helps advisors understand legislative changes likely to occur in Washington in 2009 and what these developments will mean for clients. We review the status of crucial legislative initiatives and provide targeted investment strategies to consider with your clients in light of these possible changes.

Issues include: follow-on legislation to address the financial crisis and stimulate the economy, expiration of the Bush tax cuts, a permanent fix for the alternative minimum tax and estate tax, and the effects of the record U.S. budget deficit. Additionally, we discuss and provide training on advanced investment strategies and techniques advisors can use to help minimize client taxes in what promises to be a rising tax environment.
